How RO AMC Works
By SACHSTAR · Editorial update: 9 October 2026
The short answer
An RO AMC is a written maintenance agreement for a specified period. Compare the actual visits, labour, parts, exclusions and support arrangements; the term AMC alone does not mean every repair or consumable is included.
Confirm the covered equipment
The plan should name the purifier and its current configuration, the contract period and service address. Ask whether any pre-existing fault must be fixed before the plan begins.
Ask exactly what is included
- Number and purpose of scheduled visits.
- Complaint visits and any separate call-out charge.
- Included filters, membranes, lamps or other parts, if any.
- Labour charges and exclusions.
- Response arrangements, service hours and supported locations.
Compare cost against your needs
Request an annual price with taxes and any separately charged items stated. Compare this with the costs of the work your model actually needs. A plan can simplify scheduling, but its value depends on its written scope and your usage.
Keep evidence of each visit
Record work completed, parts fitted, readings taken and the next manufacturer-based maintenance action. Follow the manual between visits. An AMC is maintenance support; it does not replace appropriate water testing or establish drinking-water safety.
